An award-winning and spectacular state-of-the-art theatre in the heart of Leicester.

Unlike other theatre, we have no traditional backstage areas meaning that on occasions visitors can enjoy a behind-the-scenes exclusive peak at the theatre making process. This can include watching a set being built on our stage, getting a close-up look at props at the end of a show or spotting performers dashing from the stage to their dressing room!

If you are here to see a show we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the performance start time.

If you are planning on visiting our Green Room Café for a meal pre-show then please arrive at least one hour before

Theatre doors will usually open about half an hour prior to the start of the show to allow all customers time to find their seats before the lights go down. There is no dress code for attending the theatre, the important thing is to be comfortable. Please note that Curve does not provide a cloakroom service, so we kindly ask that you keep bags to a minimum.

About our Building

Opened in 2008 by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, our award-winning building was designed by acclaimed architect Rafael Viñoly and offers a unique experience for all.

Our iconic curved façade is made from 1,192 tonnes of steel and 46,000m² of glass. There is step free access across the building, with level access to the Foyer from both our Halford Street (by the Green Room Café) and Rutland Street (by Box Office) entrances. Lifts are also available to reach upper levels, where you’ll find the Theatre Circle seating, our RR2 performance space, Mezzanine, rehearsal rooms, Team Curve offices and more.
