The project discovers and supports new playwrights from the city wards of Saffron, New Parks, Evington, Braunstone and Highfields & St. Matthews, providing a platform for stories that speak directly to our communities. Our aspiring playwrights take part in a series of workshops and 1-to-1 mentoring sessions as they develop a new short play which is then performed by professional actors at Curve.

The latest Neighbour-Hubs Writers Scheme took place across the summer of 2026. Stay tuned for updated on future opportunities for writers from our Neighbour-Hub areas soon.
